Crime Stoppers

Beginning May 1, Crime Stoppers will be accepting tips by phone, the web, and by way of the new P3 mobile app. Apple and Android users can download the free app, just search for “P3 Tips” in either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, install, and you are ready to go.

In transferring to this new app, Crime Stoppers will no longer receive tips via SMS text message. Still completely anonymous, tips submitted through the P3 mobile app, unlike SMS text tips, have no length limitations and allow images, video, and documents to be uploaded with the tip. A sophisticated encryption process obscures any and all identifying information and provides assured anonymity for tipsters.

Even without the app, there is still an easy and secure option for submitting tips from any PC or mobile browser by going to

Tips are still welcomed through our hotline 1-888-SDK-TIPS (1-888-535-8477).

Using whichever method, once a person submits a tip, they will be given a TIP ID and password. With this information they can login at and submit follow-up information, engage in real-time chat/two-way dialogue, be informed of the outcome of the tip, and access any pertinent reward information.

If your tip helps lead to the arrest of a suspect, or the recovery of stolen property, you may receive a reward of up to $1,000.00. All tips are confidential and anonymous.

Neighborhood Watch Program

Responsible citizens display a notification on their residence that they do watch for suspicious activity in their neighborhood and they do call the police.

House Check Program

A program available for those citizens who will be away from their residences on vacation or other short periods of time. Upon requesting the service of a local law enforcement officer will meet with the resident to obtain information, such as others who will be checking, pets in the home, emergency contact, and all other pertinent information. The officer will check the exterior of the residence and note any security problems. While the occupant is away, local law enforcement will check the security of the residence several times a day and log their findings. The emergency contact will immediately be notified of any problems. The occupant notifies the police upon their return home and an officer will respond to verify.
